Academic Counselor Simonee Miller will be available to help students with graduation applications and transfer information in the Lorance Student Union (The Can) on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

 

Bookstore to have sale Oct. 8-15

The Bookstore in the Lorance Student Center will have a sale on Champion gear Oct. 8-15 both in store and online.

History Club to have Think Pink Initiative on Oct. 14

The History Club is sponsoring a campuswide Think Pink Initiative on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. room 2 of the Social Science Building.  Dr. Teresa Mackey and Angie Burrell will be the speakers.

The HCC MakerSpace is open Monday – Wednesday from 1:00-5:00. Students are invited to come exercise their creative skills in a variety of hands-on activities – 3D printing, laser engraving, posters, buttons, stickers, t-shirts, and more.

Holmes Community College and the University of Mississippi–Grenada are teaming up again for our annual Trunk-or-Treat!

This community event has been a favorite since 2022, bringing together Holmes students, local schools, and families for an evening of Halloween fun.

Want to participate or volunteer? Students, faculty, staff, and student organizations are encouraged to sign up to host a trunk or help with the event. This is also a great opportunity for students to earn community service hours!

The Alpha Lambda Sigma chapter of Phi Theta Kappa family is growing! Please be sure to check your Holmes student email for more information! Once you join PTK, you will be added to our Canvas page and have access to more info. If you are interested in joining PTK, you need to meet the guidelines: complete at least 12 hours at Holmes, have at least a 3.5 GPA and be enrolled in the next term. More invites will be sent out at the end of October and induction will be held in the Spring.
