The Holmes Community College Alumni Association is a dynamic organization committed to engaging alumni/ae for life. The Alumni Association’s role is to support and enhance the connections that alumni developed both with their peers and with the College itself.

The Alumni Association organizes a range of events and activities over the course of the year. These events take place online, on our campuses and across the district. Wherever you are in your life and career, the HCC Alumni Association is dedicated to strengthening your ties to Holmes and your fellow alumni.

I am honored to serve as your 2021 president of the Holmes Community College Alumni Association’s Board of Directors. There is no denying that we have operated over the last year under unusual circumstances due to the pandemic, but I am excited for this opportunity to serve you.

After graduating in 1986, I went on to Mississippi State University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering in 1988. I’ve spent my career in the engineering and research sector, currently serving as Principal of SOL Engineering Services. My wife, Daphenia, and I have one son, and we live in Madison, Ms.

I have served you with the strong commitment to engage and increase the involvement of all alumni and hope you will join me in working to strengthen the bond between our alma mater and alumni.

Among our goals are to:

• Increase attendance at alumni events and class reunions.
• Support the Alumni Affairs office in its efforts to increase alumni participation.
• Cultivate continued interest in Holmes Community College among young alumni.
• Acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of our alumni.

The Alumni Association Board of Directors provides HCC with insights into alumni sentiment on various issues. Our alumni association is only as strong as the sum of its parts. You have a dedicated board of directors who are poised to serve your interests. Let us know what you see, hear and feel about Holmes, and we’ll do our best to represent you.
