JUDGES

Brandy Stokes

Brandy Stokes has been involved in pageantry for the past 40 years. She has been a contestant, pageant mom, judge, and is now enjoying her role as pageant grandmother.

Brandy’s experience as a pageant judge has taken her to local pageants and all over the Southeast, as well as to an international pageant aboard a cruise ship. She is currently the reigning Classic Miss American States.

She is a member of the Mississippi Association of Pageant Judges and currently serves on the board as program coordinator. She is a certified judge in Miss Mississippi preliminaries, Distinguished Young Woman, Miss Cosmos International, Royal American Miss, as well as the Elementary, Junior High, High School, and Collegiate Pageant System.

She was a public school teacher for 26 years and is now a tutor with the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.

The Stokeses have two grandchildren, Jeb and Gamblin, who are the biggest joys in their lives. They enjoy traveling, especially anywhere to watch Mississippi State athletics and Disney. Brandy sends best wishes to each contestant!

Lenora Lewis

Lenora Lewis is a native of Jackson, MS, and a graduate of Jackson State University, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communications. She is an Employment Law Specialist, holding certification from Columbia Southern University. Ms. Lewis currently works in the insurance industry and is also a licensed Real Estate agent.

She resided in Southern California for 16 years while working as an Insurance Claims Specialist. During this time, she was actively involved in ballet, jazz, and creative dance training, as well as recreational modeling. She has 9 years of classical piano training and is a former fitness instructor.

Ms. Lewis has been involved in judging, tabulating, and emceeing various pageants for many years, including Beauty & Beau, the Distinguished Young Woman Program, and National American Miss. She is a certified judge in the Miss Mississippi pageant system. In the industry, she serves as an interview and modeling coach. She has been a member of the Mississippi Association of Pageant Judges for 21 years, serving in various positions on the board, including President for 6 years. She was awarded Outstanding Judge of the Year in 2014. Ms. Lewis is delighted to be here, and she wishes each contestant the very best of luck!

Cheryl Waltman

Cheryl Waltman, of Quitman, is involved in the pageant world as a judge, director, and coach on local and state levels. Cheryl earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary English Education from Mississippi State University and taught in public high schools for twenty-six years before retiring and beginning a second career with her family’s business. She attends Quitman First Methodist Church, where she teaches the Preschool Sunday school Class, serves as Preschool Board Chairman, and is a member of the Church Council. Cheryl serves as Treasurer of the Quitman School District Imagination Library, volunteers with United Way of East Mississippi, and the Clarke County Distinguished Young Women Committee. A member of the Mississippi Association of Pageant Judges, Cheryl is qualified to judge in the Mississippi Distinguished Young Women program, the Miss America system, and has judged multiple Miss Hospitality programs. She also coaches pageant contestants in interviewing skills, poise, and apparel selection. Cheryl has a deep appreciation for the confidence, poise, and service that is encouraged within the pageant industry, and as a judge, director, and coach, she encourages each young woman to strive for excellence.

She and her husband have two sons, a daughter, one granddaughter, and two grandsons. Cheryl wishes good luck to all the entrants tonight.
